Paging Mr. Spock...(Part 2)

Logic

Garbage in, garbage out.  The human mind is much like a computer in that regard.  If you made it through the first piece of this article, congratulations.  It's a tough go to try and wrap your head around the concepts of how the mind learns to interact with it's environment.  Let's build on that, shall we?

In Part 1, we talked about how the mind takes facts, uses logic to order them, reason to assemble them, and thus establish truth.  Think of it in terms of a math equation (A+B+C=D).  Sounds kinda easy.  Kinda straight forward.  1+2+3=6.  Anyone with an elementary school education can follow that, right?  But what if I changed any of those numbers?  For example 1+2+5=6 or 1+2+5=36.  Your brain automatically picks up on the error.  Using a numeric equation like that, your mind can easily overcome the garbage that was put in.  It's not quite so easy when you move from numbers to more ethereal concepts.

It's the mind's ability to recognize and utilize facts, logic, reason, and truth that separates sanity from insanity.  A lion in a cage at the zoo, for example.  As you view the big predator, your mind recognizes the lion as dangerous (fact) and it recognizes that the bars separating you from being Simba's lunch are made of steel (fact), so you are safe from harm (truth).    Your instinctual "fight or flight" reaction is turned off by your brain once it realizes the truth that you are safe.  You will stand there and be amused by the lion, right up until you suddenly observe that the cage door was left unlocked and slightly ajar.  The facts changed, and so did the truth.  The brain is constantly looking for new information to process in order to interact with it's environment.

I know what you're thinking.  Why, oh long-winded scribe, are you blathering on about this inkblot related shizzle?  Welp, because it's critical in helping people understand why they are walking around nowadays with a nagging thought in the back of their mind that something just isn't right.  They can't quite put their finger on what it is.  Hell, if you asked the next 100 people you meet what that "thing" is that's wrong, you'll get 100 different answers.  Nevertheless, they'll all agree that some "thing" is definitely not right.

Convincing people that what YOU want them to believe is what's wrong is the heart and soul of politics.  It's the bread and butter of the Power Elite.  You see it every single day as you watch the news.  It's as plain as the nose on your face when you watch a TV show or the commercials that accompany them.  "What?  No I don't", you be saying.  Really?  Let's see.

For the last 2 years, I recorded the Super Bowl from pre-game to post-game.  Not to rewatch the game, mind you.  I did it to be able to play back all of the commercials and study the patterns they presented.  Here's what you find if you did this for yourself.  They, IN NO WAY, reflect the country you live in.  Roll that around in your head for a moment.  They're ads.  Their supposed to show the product they are promoting in the best light to the most potential customers as possible.  That's why, supposedly, they cost so much.  Show your commercial and make as many people as possible want to buy your widget.  Easy.  Simple.  Right?  So the commercials should be an accurate reflection of the target audience.  Nope.  Here's a quick breakdown.

Let's start with some statistics (source:  US Census 2020, US Department of Commerce, Gallup, numerous studies).  Whites make up almost 60% of the population, Hispanics about 19%, Blacks 12%, Asians et al 11.4%.  During the Super Bowl, the majority of ads over-represented EVERY OTHER group other than Whites.  Gallup's 2022 survey put the total number of LGBT folks in the US at around 7%.  They are MASSIVELY over-represented in both the Super Bowl ads as well as TV shows and movies.  While it is difficult to get an accurate number due to bias in surveys (and even the definition of "handicapped"), an aggregate of available data puts the number at less than 10% of the population, yet 3 in 5 Super Bowl commercials had wheelchair bound people, amputees, Down Syndrome folks, etc in them.  According to the 2o20 census, less than 1% of couples in the US were interracial.  White/white couples are at 98% and Black/black couples are at around 96%.  You'd never know that watching Super Bowl ads, TV shows, or movies where interracial couples are shown as enormously more common.

The above paragraph is chock full of facts.  Logic, then, would dictate that an advertiser would structure their commercials accordingly.  Reason SHOULD allow them to understand that, in order to reach their target audience, the ads SHOULD represent an accurate reflection of the percentages I listed.  But the truth is wildly different.  The commercials were drastically skewed AWAY from those numbers and percentages.  Why?  Quite obviously, it's an attempt to convince the masses that things in America AREN'T what the average individual believes.  It harkens to the Eddie Murphy line, "Who are you gonna believe?  Me, or your lyin' assed eyes?!"

In the next piece of this article, we'll try and take the next step in helping people understand that what they are seeing and hearing from the Power Elite is in direct conflict with facts, logic, reason, and truth.  That nagging feeling they have is real.  It's a red pill versus blue pill moment that you can either face and accept or continue to watch idly as your life passes you by in torment and confusion.  People are angry without knowing why.  Let's see if we can't pull back the veil just a little and shine a modicum of light on the problem.
